Fireproof A1-level wallpapers are available upon request.

ALL FABSCARTE WORKS REQUIRE EXPERT INSTALLERS. THE COMPANY DENIES ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR PROBLEMS DUE TO NOT FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS.

We remind you to check that the patterned wallpaper matches your requests and expectations before proceeding with the installation. All Fabscarte works are handmade: slight potential color variations are the result of genuine craftsmanship. The cutting was done by hand, and any minimal imperfections are part of the artisanal process.

SURFACE PREPARATION

The quality of the final result depends on good preparation of the surfaces. The wall must be dry, smooth, and clean. Newly plastered and highly absorbent surfaces must be properly insulated with a layer of appropriate acrylic resin. It is advisable to cover the walls with raw lining paper to create a suitable surface for hanging the wallpaper.

Specific surfaces: – The wallpaper must not be hung on old layers of wallcovering. Where this is not possible, make sure all layers are properly fixed. – When it is not possible to entirely remove shiny, enameled, or painted surfaces, it is advisable to prepare the surface with an appropriate bonding mortar to ensure sufficient adhesion. – Avoid using oil-based paint, as oil can stain the paper. – Wallpaper with gold or silver painted backgrounds must not be applied to walls treated with anti-mold solutions or lime plaster, as the alkaline base may damage it.

WALLPAPER HANGING

Some types of patterned wallcovering have starting indications on the top horizontal edge. The numbering on the back of the wallpaper must be strictly followed to maintain the pattern order. Before cutting the rolls, place at least three sheets together to verify the correct pattern alignment. PASTE: It is advisable to use a paste suited to the product type, installation procedure, and local climate.

HANGING PROCEDURE

Apply a coat of paste to the back of the wallpaper and fold it to let the paper soak. Wait 3 to 5 minutes, depending on paper thickness and climate conditions. Details: – Thin paper or humid climate: less soaking time. – Thick paper or dry climate: more soaking time. Apply the wallpaper to the wall using an upholstery brush or spatula, according to the type of paper. Gently apply pressure with a roller or soft brush. Remove any paste leaks with a damp sponge. Once applied, while the wallpaper is still wet, trim the top and bottom edges.
