Maria Nielsen
Maria Walter Nielsen (Copenhagen, 1976) is an active designer in the field of graphics and the revision of objects. After studying in Denmark and Germany, she moved to Italy, where she worked with some of the leading fashion houses. Her creative method combines the use of software with a craftsman approach, linked to materials and different expressive techniques such as drawing, painting and sewing. Since 2019 she has founded a consulting company that develops projects related to clothing and interior decoration.
Maria Walter Nielsen grew up near Copenahgen, in a village characterized by a forest, which she saw as a seductive and safe place, giving her the inspiration for her creative soul verbiage “Skov Wallpaper”, which in Danish means forest , which was created in 2022 in collaboration with Fabscarte.
An imaginary and figurative seduction, inspired by multiple references. The desire to create an earth-sky map that occupies all the space and the heights of the perimeter walls, to convey an idea of underground and surface landscape.
Fabscarte combines the world of graphics and illustration of the designer with the combination of relief papers, stucco and colours that recall the materials and techniques used by children.
